Pregnancy: Burping your baby

Burping is very importance to prevent baby from get colic. Colic happens when there is air in the baby stomach. Air can come inside during the feeding process. The air will cause uncomfortable feeling to baby and some of the baby will stop drink even though they are not full enough. Besides, if we not burp our baby after the feeds, and straight away lay down the baby, baby will throughout some of the milk. There are some steps to burp the baby:

1) On the shoulder Hold the baby on your chest in facing back position.

Make sure baby chick is on your shoulder. Rub genteelly your baby back until they burp. You can practise this position while standing or sitting. Make sure you put a small towel on your shoulder before hold the baby to prevent from the baby throw out.



2) Lie face downward put your baby lie face downward on your lap.

Make sure baby stomach is pressing by is one of your leg. Hold your baby chest using one of your hands and another hand genteelly rubs the baby back. Make sure your baby head is higher than the baby body.





3) Sit and facing front sit your baby on your lap.

Hold baby chest with your forearm. Keep the baby comfortable. Leaning forward your baby, genteelly rub the back. Some baby can easily burp and some are not. Please don't easily give-up and try as best as you can. Enjoy reading.
